Mario Guida was born in Aversa (Italy) on January 7th, 1981, graduated in Electronic Engineering in 2007. Through an intense and passionate study of the physical sound characteristics and of a personal stylistic-compositional research, Mario Guida develops his own sonorous language, in continuous evolution, based on improvisation and on the random processing of melodic/noisy structures and rhythmic and minimal pulsations, all in real-time, dening an introspective sound environment, whose function is to share the feelings and perceptions between the listener and the author of the composition. He moved to Bologna and, since 2009 has been working with the theatre group Collettivo Immaginario, producing soundtracks for theatre that allow him to explore the relationship between text, dance and real-time manipulation of sound materials. At same time he is continuing his research belonged to the electronic music improvisation creating compositions for which the origin of the compositional stylistic investigation put into action is the interaction between the structuring of sound materials, mounted on support, and the random and extemporary musical structures produced by the "analog" approach to the instrumental practice.
