I always loved adventure, traveling and finding trouble. Luckily, I've survived thus far and taken some cool images along the way.
I'm an award-winning U.S. Army Reserve photojournalist based on the East Coast. Being a soldier consists of long periods of boredom followed by brief periods of excitement. I've been there for both.
I was named the Army Journalist of the Year 2010 and the Army Reserve Military Journalist of the Year for 2009 and 2010. I've won numerous military and civilian awards for photojournalism. I was awarded the Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge for covering troops under fire.
I attended the Eddie Adams Workshop XXV, Momenta Multimedia Workshop in D.C., and Bill Gentile's Backpack Video Journalism Workshop.
I have a Master of Arts degree in International Media at American University's School of International Service. I earned a B.A. in English from Lewis & Clark College.
