Since co-founding Industrial Brand in 1997, Mark Busse has been successfully leading clients to their business objectives through brand communications and creative solutions. Busse is a certified graphic designer (CGD), past president of the BC Chapter of The Society of Graphic Designers of Canada and co-chair of Icograda Design Week 2010 in Vancouver.
Busse was educated in fine arts, business management and design at University of British Columbia and Trinity Western University, providing him with the necessary tools for graphic design and shaping his lifelong passion for communication and problem-solving.
Industrial Brand’s clients have included Molson Breweries, Telus, UBC, Future Shop, Ledalite, Granville Island Brewery, Fraser Valley Regional Library, Best Buy, Nokia, Toyota, TWU, HCMA Architects, Hemlock Printers, CMHC, Henriquez Architects, RJC Engineering, among others.
Industrial Brand’s work has been recognized by Communication Arts, ADCC, How Magazine, Applied Arts, Lotus Awards, Graphics Exchange, Potlatch, Portfolios.com, Webbies, International Gallery of Superb Printing, W3 Awards, Icograda Galeria–as well as being featured in the permanent collection at his mom’s house.
Busse is a sessional instructor and faculty advisor for Vancouver Film School’s Digital Design program, speaks regularly at local design programs, and serves as co-chair of Interesting Vancouver and Likemind Vancouver. He is also a passionate cook and food lover and co-founder of the popular food blog, Foodists.ca. He lives with his wife Andrea and blind dog Charlie in the Commercial Drive area of Vancouver, BC.
