At Medtronic, we're changing the face of chronic disease. By working closely with physicians around the world, we create therapies to help patients do things they never thought possible.

Medtronic Advanced Energy manufactures electrosurgical products designed to assist surgeons during a variety of procedures, including orthopaedic, spinal, surgical oncology, and plastic/reconstructive applications. Our monopolar sealers and Aquamantys® bipolar sealers use proprietary Transcollation® technology to provide hemostatic sealing of soft tissue and bone during surgery, while our PEAK PlasmaBlade™ devices use pulsed plasma technology to provide the precision of a scalpel and the bleeding control of traditional electrosurgery without extensive collateral tissue damage.

Please note:
The techniques described in the videos posted on these pages and the use of instructions for the related procedures are made available to the healthcare professional to illustrate a particular surgeon's suggested treatment for the uncomplicated procedure. In the final analysis, the preferred treatment is that which, in the healthcare professional's judgment, addresses the needs of the individual patient.

Safety information:
Aquamantys monopolar and bipolar sealers are not intended for contraceptive tubal coagulation (permanent female sterilization).
