The Michigan State University Department of Art | Art History | Design offers study in STUDIO ART, APPAREL & TEXTILE DESIGN, ART EDUCATION, and ART HISTORY & VISUAL CULTURE to approximately 600 majors in three degree programs:
• Bachelor of Arts
• Bachelor of Fine Arts
• Master of Fine Arts
Concentrated study available in ceramics, electronic art & intermedia, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.
AAHD sponsors rotating student exhibitions in Gallery 101 and Gallery 114, a diverse group of visiting artist and scholar lectures, and art events during the fall and spring semesters. Annually, the department features student artwork in the Undergraduate Exhibition, the Master of Fine Arts Exhibition, and a fashion show highlighting the designs of Apparel and Textile Design students.
