MOBIUS8™ -- Electronica Performance Art

Experience space age orchestration of lighting, visual effects, and laser morphing to the beat of the wildest remixes and dance tracks. John Laraio and his “Hydra”, the most innovative spatial instrument of its kind, come together as Mobius8-- a performance art event and “Electronic Disc Jockey” that translates motion into sound.

With a solid background in various styles of music, MOBIUS8™ is an experience like no other.

After touring with mega group YES and its lead singer John Anderson, John experimented with infrared light to translate motion into sound. Through this experimentation, his proprietary creation known as the “Hydra” was born.

Since then, Mobius8 has performed for numerous Cirque Du Soleil premiers, Dick Clark, Stan Lee, Steven Spielberg, has had seventeen consecutive sold out shows at Yoyogi Stadium in Tokyo and was the special guest encore performer on the *NSYNC Pop Odyssey Tour, the world’s largest musical production tour.

Other Mobius8 credits include the co-creation and co-production of the Wade Robson project for MTV, performing the grand finale for G-Phoria with BT, along with appearances on ABC’s ”World News Tonight,” NBC, CBS, FOX News, Discovery Channel, Globo in South America, American Airlines in “Flight News,” and Fuji Networks Japan.

Mobius8’s latest performance art events found him at the foot of the Great Pyramids at Giza, Egypt with Riverdance and Mariah Carey.

More intimate performances include corporate events for, Apple, Yahoo, Ericsson, Sony, Nintendo, MGM, IBM and Fuji networks.

Mobius8 is currently working on a live Electronica theatrical-based show and developing new interactive technologies and performance pieces for Cirque Du Soleil.
