The Moody College of Communication at The University of Texas at Austin is the most comprehensive college of its kind in the country and one of the nation's foremost institutions for the study of advertising, public relations, communication sciences and disorders, communication studies, journalism and radio-television-film.

Located in Austin, a nationally recognized creative center known for its mix of technology, music and film, the Moody College prepares students to thrive in the era of media convergence by exposing them to the various communication disciplines to gain new insights and skills, realize new forms of expression and create new categories of employment.

Our faculty members are renowned for their teaching and scholarship and are among the best in their respective fields in conducting leading edge research. As a result the college has grown to include a number of specialized units, including the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Participation, the Telecommunications and Information Policy Institute, the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas and The University of Texas Film Institute - each of which provides opportunities for faculty and students to engage in scholarly activities that benefit society.

Students of all levels and backgrounds have abundant opportunities for practical learning and connecting with industry professionals. Whether it's filming a documentary as part of the East Austin Stories project, traveling to El Salvador to train health-care workers in better ways to treat people with speech and hearing problems, or chronicling the experiences of the last of the living Latino WWII veterans for the Latino Oral History Project.
