Sean Coyle (akaThe Mr. Boy Productions founding father) grew up in a time when Saturday morning cartoons were plentiful and the animated adventures of weekday afternoon programming were enough motivation to fight through the school day.

It was an era where summers at the movies were spent travelling through time with Marty McFly, busting ghosts with Pete Venkman and his posse, and saving the Holy Grail from the Nazis with Indy and Papa Jones.

It was a time when cable TV was new and exciting. When families would gather ’round the telly to partake in the delightful togetherness of the Huxtable family, and then mozy on down to the corner to share a pint with the gang at Cheers – - figuratively, of course.

Between school, little league games, and household chores, Sean packed the hours with comic books, movies, and heaps of cartoon a’doodlin’. He created a slew of goofy comic characters and a series of wacky adventures for them to live out, but never in his boyhood dreams did he ever think the pursuit of cartoons was a realistic possibility in the grown-up world.

Flash forward to the spring of 2006 when Sean lands a job working on an animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie – - quite literally, living the dream.

His work on TMNT led him to the Walt Disney company a few months later. There, he was hired as an animation editor, cutting pilots for TV development.

Since July of 2006, Sean has been an animiatic editor, assistant editor, trailer editor, and lead editor working on hit Disney television programs like The Replacements, Phineas & Ferb, Kick Buttowski, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He has also had his hands on nearly a dozen animated pilots, giving him the opportunity to work with some of the best creative directors in the business.

Currently, Sean is Tronning things up as the lead editor on Disney’s Tron: Uprising animated series.
