David Murakami is an award winning film director, writer, and theatrical multi-media designer working towards integrating innovative technologies with traditional performance on stage. His work has been featured at the Smithsonian Museum, the Maker Faire, and several international film festivals. He has designed experimental setpieces ranging from the classic works of Henrick Ibsen to the vaudeville reunion of the Flying Karamazov Brothers, and has directed diverse actors ranging from university students to members of the Royal Shakespeare Company. In 2012, David designed and directed the first fully immersive digital stage for A Forgotten Future, an anthology of science fiction plays by Ray Bradbury. David is also continuing his graduate education with the University of California, Santa Cruz for Theatrical Direction and Media Design.
