Neema Crafts provides handicrafts training and employment for deaf and physically disabled people in Iringa, Tanzania. The Diocese of Ruaha project changes negative attitudes towards people with disabilities in the local community.
The videos show how skilled the workers at Neema Crafts quickly become when given the opportunity to fulfil their potential. The high quality of their work is changing the attitude of local people towards disabled people, who would otherwise be living in extreme poverty. The income they earn at the centre allows them to support themselves and their families, and moreover gives them hope, dignity and a positive future.
