Produced in 2000, still very much the early days of computer animation, it's now considered among the classic short films to come from the USC School of Cinematic Arts alongside short films by student filmmakers George Lucas and Robert Zemeckis. Horses on Mars was selected for over 100 film festivals, and received Oscar consideration for the 2002 Academy Awards. It was also the first USC student film to use Pixar's RenderMan. Original format on 35mm cinemascope.
