They say that people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime and when you know which one it is, you'll know what to do. For Brigid Liston and her son Quinn, such a person comes in the form of American Anthropologist, Janet Hattridge, on sabbatical researching her Ulster Scots roots and her family's link to a forgotten witch trial. As the relationship between Janet and Quinn deepens, Brigid's mother dies. Brigid's grief sets her on a path that ends in tragedy and as her actions unfold, the past reveals itself.

Children of Little Prince - Film Zbigniewa Rytela z TVP SPORT wyróżniony na Międzynarodowym Festiwalu Filmowym w Indonezji

During the International Film Festival in Jakarta (International Film Festival for Environment, Health, and Culture), which began on April 5, appreciated the production of Journalism Editor TVP SPORT. Recognition of international judges scored the film "Children of Lesser Prince", written by Zbigniew Rytel. Image received honorable mention ("Honorable Mention") in the documentary category.

Feature-length documentary, written and directed by Zbigniew Rytel, represents people who rarely see and about which little is known - people with intellectual disabilities. Sport for them is not only physical activity but also the way out of the closed circle of their environment and integrate into the world of non-disabled people.

The great value of the movie produced in 2011. They are photos taken by Marcin Peresady, who was able to gain the trust of the characters and a few weeks to enter the camera in a sealed environment, as well as the installation of Boguslaw Koziarski. Produced by Tamara Is-Kasperek.

This is another success of the film, which was screened at many film festivals around the world. "Children of Lesser Prince" won, among other things, honorable mention ("Mention d'Honneur") at the International Sports Film Festival in Milan last year.

It is also another distinction Zbigniew RYTEL. His other documentary films, also produced by TVP Sport ("idol" of Justyna Kowalczyk, "POC - 90 years on the Olympic trail," or a film about Christopher Wiłkomirskim) were repeatedly awarded at Polish and international film festivals.

Podczas Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Filmowego w Dżakarcie (International Film Festival for Environment, Health, and Culture), który rozpoczął się 5 kwietnia, doceniono produkcję Redakcji Publicystyki TVP SPORT.

What in the World are they spraying?

"What in the World are They Spraying?" a groundbreaking documentary Co-Produced by journalist and political activist Michael J. Murphy. By now everyone has seen crisscrossing streaks of white clouds trailing behind jet aircraft, stretching from horizon to horizon, eventually turning the sky into a murky haze. Our innate intelligence tells us these are not mere vapor trails from jet engines, but no one yet has probed the questions: who is doing this and why. With the release of this video, all of that has changed. Here is the story of a rapidly developing industry called geo-engineering, driven by scientists, corporations, and governments intent on changing global climate, controlling the weather, and altering the chemical composition of soil and water — all supposedly for the betterment of mankind. Although officials insist that these programs are only in the discussion phase, evidence is abundant that they have been underway since about 1990 — and the effect has been devastating to crops, wildlife, and human health. We are being sprayed with toxic substances without our consent and, to add insult to injury, they are lying to us about it. Do not watch this documentary if you have high blood pressure.

MOSSADEH - ROOZBEH DADVAND’S SHORT FILM ABOUT THE LEGENDARY IRANIAN PRIME MINISTER

The year is 1959. Six years after a CIA-backed coup-d’etat (Operation Ajax) in 1953, in which the Iranian Prime Minister, Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh was deposed and the Shah reinstated after a brief departure, the former politician and national hero is a sick and ailing man under house-arrest. Having risen to an intolerable level of popularity among the Iranian people for his nationalisation of the Iranian oil industry, among other things, the Shah upon his return convicted Mossadegh of treason, and confined him to a house in Ahmadabad, a remote suburban area north of Tehran.

Written and directed by Iranian-American filmmaker Roozbeh Dadvand, Mossadegh, a 24 minute-long film, provides a glimpse of the former Prime Minister’s last days in Ahmadabad.

Placed under extreme supervision, Mossadegh’s health is failing, and as such, his son – a doctor himself – intervenes to have an American physician (a fictional character) provide him with proper treatment. Although at first the authorities are reluctant to agree to any sort of intervention, they eventually give in, and allow the American to take up residence in Mossadegh’s house.

Having been overthrown by the CIA, Mossadegh is naturally skeptical of Americans, and throughout the film refuses to cooperate with the physician. ‘Given that Mossadegh was overthrown by American intelligence forces, I intended his interaction with the American doctor to explore issues of trust between the two men and to symbolize the distrust between the two nations’, says Dadvand. Eventually, however, the fallen hero gives in to the doctor’s requests, and accompanies him on a visit to a nearby hospital to undergo various tests.

The film is incredibly interesting in the sense that it is the first film made about the Iranian Prime Minister released in the West, and that it was realised with so few resources. According to Dadvand, the film was a project he worked on with his fellow students at the University of Southern Carolina. Having been part of the official selection of 10 major international film festivals, such as Raindance, the Boston International Film Festival, and the London Lift-Off Film Festival, Dadvand and Co. definitely have something to be proud of.

Witness Jenya

Documentary, Child Abuse, Ukrainian Farmers, Stalin Genocide, New Movie

"The Witness Jenya", a new documentary based on the book " One Woman, Five Lives, Five Countries", by author , Yevhenia Sakervych ~ Dallas, is an extraordinarily courageous testimony of a young Christian girl's life during the dawn of communism in the Ukraine. In "Witness Jenya", Yevhenia, gives us a heart-wrenching and empowering account of her journey and narrow escape to freedom.

Actress Eugenia Dallas, the American spelling of the name Yevhenia, starting drawing late in life. She felt as if an Unknown Force had guided her hand to draw from her deep subconscious, buried images of the devastating, rape and pillaging of her family, home, and heritage.

In "The Witness Jenya", Eugenia, a successful fashion model today, reflects through her writing and art work, a credible, tender child- like viewpoint of her experiences. As Eugenia narrates we see images of today's beautiful Ukrainian countryside. In the center of the city is a statue of a young girl representing the children and the families of the Ukrainian farmers. Eugenia sees herself in that child.

Eugenia begins her story with letters and pictures of the family she has lost. She was only twelve years old when the communist authorities, under Stalin, came to her family's home. They were seizing the properties of all the Ukrainian free farmers. Farmers, like her Father, who for generations had provided half the world's bread, meat, milk and wine, were now thousands left homeless. They would have to submit to Stalin's regime, denounce their freedom and their Christian faith. To establish further dominance, the authorities locked the farmers out of the city, leaving them without food, causing a man-made famine. Ten million souls perished in just fifteen months from starvation.
"The Witness Jenya", is a heart breaking account of an unexplainable disease -- man's inhumanity to one another. Her journey from the Ukraine to Austria and escape to Italy; her climb from starvation and slave camps, to become a successful fashion model, is nothing less than empowering.
Eugenia's road to survival is an amazing story of faith, courage and Grace. In her testimony she chronicles each of her family members tragic journey as she references the images of her parents and siblings from an old photograph. Each story carries a powerful punch as you hear in her voice the cost of her losses. But it is the story of Eugenia's older sister and a woman's gift of "restorative" kindness that may very well explain the Unknown Force which saved young Yevenia. No doubt it is that same Force which prompted her to draw and tell her story.

The Ukrainian people have lived in freedom the past twenty years-after seventy years of communism. "The Witness Jenya", is the evidence of how life can renew itself. Just as through incredible courage, faith and Grace, Eugenia has.

Eugenia and filmmaker- producer Jeff Peyton use hauntingly beautiful music and pastoral landscapes to offset this story of the inhumane horror and tragedy of a young girl's tumultuous childhood. They are currently in the process of making a narrative of Eugenia's life; perhaps Animation? For more information or to contribute to this project go to: colorblindproductionsllc.com

It is the only film made about the man who reached 80 per cent of the planet in a single night. Mas Man (The Complete Work) explores Peter Minshall's leap from designer in the Trinidad Carnival to an artistic director of the Opening Ceremonies for three Olympic Games, based on his knack for 'making what is small seem big in an Olympic stadium.' Minshall served as an artistic director in the 1992 Barcelona Games; Atalanta, 1996; and Salt Lake City, 2006. Olympic producers found his genius for staging grand spectacles in his native Trinidad, where his themes usually play on good and evil. Where his stage has been the mas, which he brings to the street as theater, way beyond the horizon of masquerade.

IN CARCOSA

In Carcosa is a no-budget feature film that mashes science fiction, surrealism, psychonautics, dramatic character-study, absurdist humor, and B-movie tropes into a single, fractured story of an underground support group for sufferers of “reverse deja-vu”. Built around improvised performances from a fantastic ensemble cast and an original, improvised score by Kill Dalton Ames , the film twists the storyline with textured visual montage sequences and nods to abstract cinema art creating a unique motion picture experience.

An underground support group for sufferers of 'reverse deja-vu' begins another meeting under the unhinged supervision of their group leader, William. As the session unfolds, William begins to crack under the sarcastic scrutiny of his neighbor, Barry, while an absent group member, the mysterious Daniel, taunts him through strange phone calls. As each member of the group recounts their latest "episode," they flicker between states of surreal recollection and absurdist conversation. Through their stories, each individual tries to make sense of the truth behind their condition, as William continues to become more unstable. When the session is suddenly interrupted by a nightmarish vision and Barry's unplanned entrance, William finally snaps and the group falls apart. The enigmatic Daniel then appears in a series of dream-like flashbacks that begin to hint at his relationships with the group members and his secret machinations. As the flashbacks progress, Daniel's behavior grows more and more confused and time/space seems to break down in the very substance of the film around him. At last, Daniel and William come together as their stories oddly intertwine toward a climax. Rejected by the group, they each escape into the thick of their environmental delusions, lost in hallucinatory, fever-dream landscapes: an unreal metropolis that finally opens into passageways perhaps leading to stranger worlds.
