As massive social and political changes sweep across the country, Level Ground is working to engage a different conversation with the LGBT community. By creating safe space for dialogue about faith, gender, and sexuality through art, we hope to cultivate a better way of speaking with one another across difference and disagreement. Removing political and religious agendas, we want to see conservative and liberal, gay and straight, cisgender and transgender people meet one another on sacred, though likely uncomfortable, level ground.
In order to do this, Level Ground works with artists and communities, curating art to create safe space for dialogue and reconciliation across social, political, and religious differences and disagreements. We also host a uniquely programmed—and the country’s first faith-based, LGBT Film Festival in Pasadena, California each spring.
