As a long format commercial for Lincoln, that's one thing. It's really very well done. We get a clear feel for the product, excitement, anticipation and, at the same time loyalty as the Lincoln sticky by the couple as they go through their young life, and now, a major move.

As a short film? Well ... it's a blabble of sentimental materialism by two yuppies trying to be hip while driving a Lincoln. I'm not even sure what's so "natural", the monologue certainly isn't. Everything is so Hallmark-perfect and totally void of risk. This all makes sense in the commercial, so it's a good thing we all know what it really is, but for what it's masquerading as that's another story.

The director of photography seems to constantly have the shakes. Why buy a 1000/5 000 $ camera and a stabilizer to create that faux-natural movement as if it were shot on a iphone ? This is a constant choice of DOPs in commercials and it's starting to be completely fake and to overdo-it for the "reality" where it's supposed to lead us.

The short seems to me so long and it never establishes a sure choice between commercial and short film : thus it's a lengthy commercial and a short-film which is too much chatty.

Images are beautiful and try to lean towars Malick's aesthetics but the color-correction is quite a problem as it switches from greens to magentas quite harshly.

Nonetheless this being short on a GH4 is quite an accomplishment in it self. Why a GH4 over a Blackmagic for instance ? Just out of curiosity ? :)

I think this is GREAT WORK! And despite what people say the whole of it is an artistic choice. I am surprisingly happy to see cinematic images coming out of the GH4.
Loved it!
