In 1933 two adventurers paddled and sailed a canoe from San Diego to the Panama Canal lasting exactly three years. They were Dana and Ginger Lamb. The Paddle to Panama expedition aims to meet several goals. We hope to meet with native Indians that have been assimilated into mainstream culture and see how their lives have changed. Document the change of the coastline once sheltering the local people that are overrun by large resorts. Lastly, to show people that following their dreams are possible. The expedition will take place on a 17 foot Hobie Adventure Island kayak. Starting in San Diego, we will travel down the entire west coast of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama stopping any many villages along the way and documenting our travels.
