Patty Espinosa is a television reporter and producer from the border town of Mission, Texas. She currently works at KXAS (NBC 5) in Dallas-Fort Worth. Her passion for TV has lead her to work for news organizations such as CBS News in Washington, D.C., the Telemundo Production Center in Fort Worth, Texas, and Mission Local, a hyperlocal news site in San Francisco. She has covered a wide-range of stories, from city ordinances such as San Francisco’s Prop L, also known as the Sit/Lie Law, to the devastating Texas drought. Recently, she traveled to India to report on the issue of discrimination against women who are HIV positive in one of the most HIV prevalent states in the country. Patty graduated from UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism in May 2012.
