Filmmaker, photographer, producer, radio host, event co-ordinator, and teacher are all many roles that Paul Aflalo, has had in pursuit of his long-sought career of doing anything he possbily could. Paul is a native Montrealer and finds his inspiration for all that he does,through the culture, the bizarreness and community that makes Montreal. His most notable film, Surfing the Waste: a Musical Documentary about Dumpster Diving, was an official selection at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, in 2007 his short documentary, Jahsun, was selected as part of Radio Canada International’s Digital Diversity Competition. Dabbling outside the film world, Paul co-founded Remember Griffintown, a three-day event celebrating the rich history of the former Montreal Irish Quarter and has also been an events producer for Indyish.com working with artist from all over Montreal.
