Freelance director for corporate films, television drama & commercials
Peter shoots very diverse films around the world and works with a wide variety of people across social, cultural and religious barriers.
This versatility helps him to mix human emotion into a visually strong portfolio of work. His combination of extensive technical skills, deep creative insight and a sensitive approach make him a true ‘specialist in all styles’…
For the last 10 years Peter specializes in corporate & institutional communications. He takes a project in hand from the earliest briefing, writes the script, directs the film and supervises postproduction up to final delivery. Peter feels at home with complex international briefings where his pragmatic take, analytical skills and visual flair are much appreciated. Most of his clients hired him once – and then went on to hire him again.
Peter directed television reports, participated in theatre projects, shot several program leaders and made a series of documentaries. He also directed a weekly music program ‘Vtm super 50’ and shot video clips for Clouseau, Lords of Acid, Marlone and Eurosong for kids. To improve his directing skills, Peter attended workshops in Rockport and Los Angeles for acting, script analysis, rehearsal techniques & directing actors (Judith Weston). Subsequently he shot 18 episodes (50’) of the Flemish drama series ‘Wittekerke’, roughly a year’s work. His actor’s direction and dynamic film style were much appreciated. One of his episodes (989) was voted the best of that year (at least according to the fan website).
Peter started out in commercials - producing & shooting more than 200 cinema & TV commercials. His warm human approach and filmic style were awarded several times.
