Born in 1985 in downtown New York City, Pierce Jackson became interested in photography and film at a young age through close proximity to the flourishing Soho and East Village art world and an exciting generation of emerging artists who worked across media in visual arts, music, dance and film. This, along with the wide-angle compositions of East Asian films were among his earliest inspirations.
Presently based in New York, Pierce has been working in the art, fashion and media industry for over six years. He attended NYU and later spent time living abroad in Shanghai, before returning to New York as the Senior Director of PAPER TV at PAPER Magazine. He created an acclaimed “video press release” for the Whitney Museum Biennial in 2008, and has produced videos for the Museum of Modern Art, the Brooklyn Museum, T-Magazine: The New York Times Style Magazine and Le Book.
Pierce Jackson has been directing film, video, and high-concept luxury commercial projects since 2007.
