Quinn Strassel hails from Ypsilanti, Michigan; birthplace of the Tucker automobile, Dominos Pizza, and Iggy Pop.
He studied Theatre at the University of Michigan, taught drama and English at a Brooklyn public high schoool, and earned a Master's degree in broadcast Journalism at Boston University.
In January 2006, Quinn was hired as an on-camera host and production manager for OurStage.com. With OurStage, Quinn has traveled the country, interviewing artists like Jason Schwartzman, Will Arnett, Lupe Fiasco, Tapes 'n Tapes, Blonde Redhead, Paul Oakenfold, Rhymefest, and St. Vincent. He's attended and covered numerous festivals, including South By Southwest, Noise Pop, Bonnaroo, 10,000 Lakes, Lollapalooza, and Bumbershoot.
Favorite all-time artists include Beck, Pixies, Pavement, The Breeders, Guided By Voices, The Roots, Belle & Sebastian, Elliott Smith, Portishead, and Yo La Tengo. Favorite movies include Ghostbusters, Rushmore, Goonies, Harold and Maude, and R. Kelly’s Trapped in the Closet.
