I was born in The Netherlands (1979) in a hippie neighborhood where life was a circus. After graduating High School I worked at a TV-recycle factory where people lost body parts, in garbage and the sanitary sewer system, and at a coffee factory where I developed my taste for coffee. In 2007 I received a bachelor degree in Film Study at Utrecht University. The same year I enrolled in M.F.A. film directing program NYU Tisch School of the Arts under artistic direction of Oliver Stone. In 2010 I started a fulltime job at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam as editor and filmmaker. Directed and edited TVC’s including award winning digital content. In 2013 I obtained my M.F.A in directing after I finished my thesis film Junkie XL that got screened at Hamburg IKKF. My other shorts Godverdomme!, DJ Tiesto and Boon Keng Midnight XL played at several festivals including Palm Springs, CFC, Brussels Int., Madness Toronto, Singapore and Jimff. Short film JACKED (Thomas Turgoose and Charley Palmer Rothwell), funded by Film London, will be finished in August 2015.
