Welcome to Riverview Camp for Girls! We’ve put together everything you are looking for in a great location! Just a little over two hours from Atlanta, Nashville, Knoxville, and Birmingham…you’ll find Riverview Camp for Girls, nestled on the banks of Little River and on TOP of Lookout Mountain as well! The beauty and natural surroundings of the Riverview setting offer the perfect backdrop for an environment that enhances what we all want to develop in our children. Activities include but are not limited to: Riding, (English, Western), Swimming (heated pool) Ropes Course and New Climbing Tower, Tennis (New lighted courts!), Canoeing, Golf, Archery, Riflery, Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Dance, Sports, Soccer, Basketball, Beach Volley Ball, Chorus, Drama, Arts & Crafts, Outdoor Living, Riverview Refinement, Knitting, Campfires every night, CIT Program, Optional Trips and more! Though safe and wholesome fun is our top priority, there are some other tangible and intangible benefits of camping with a great group of girls from all over the Southeast!

Since Adventure, Inspiration, Character and Confidence Building are our focus, it is amazing how much parents tell us that their daughters (in a positive way) grow and develop while they are at camp! Interesting enough, they are having so much FUN, they are often unaware of the personal benefits that camp has inspired! We’d like for you to know about these benefits and anticipated outcomes of The Riverview Camp Experience:

--Social skills development: Leadership, Communication and Participation
Opportunities to participate in activities that she has never tried before in an environment of encouragement, without fear of ridicule, when multiple attempts are needed to learn new skills.

--Self-respect and character-building: Responsibility, Resourcefulness, Resilience
A community of caring is experience by girls on the personal level as they learn to live together in cabin with other campers in their own age/grade range with college age counselors as their mentors and cabin caregivers.

--Spiritual growth: Moral competencies, Ethical competencies, a “closer to God” feeling!
Morning Watch and campfire talks, cabin talks and worship services on Sunday with a featured speaker in our open-air gymnasium. Catholic Mass is nearby for those who wish to attend. All managed tastefully and in support of what our camper families want for their daughters.

--Cognitive growth: Learning to do things, Mastering physical skills
“You’ll be amazed by all she can do!”

--Emotional growth: Independence and Interdependence, Team player
Being a part of a “tribe” is one of the many exciting aspects of Riverview that campers absolutely find exhilarating! Good Sportsmanship is a part of any competition!

--Community living/service skills: Caring, Fairness, Citizenship, Trustworthiness
The camp community becomes their “home away from home”! Riverview’s staff is composed of 75% former campers/staff and as campers return year after year it is that feeling of family and friends that give them the sense of “coming home to my camp”! As campers return to camp year after year, they have the opportunity to be a part of our Counselor-in-Training program which offers Community Service hours for their school requirements as well! The Riverview philosophy of “coming back to give back” creates a strong network of amazing, caring, enthusiastic Christian counselors that creates the camp community that camper families appreciate!

Simply put, we just want to enhance your daughter’s life in a safe place, providing great opportunities, good role models and creating opportunities for life-long meaningfulness ... while we "empower" them to make good decisions in life!
