I'm a PhD researcher (Communication technology) at the University of Newcastle, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, School of Communication, Design and Information Technology. My supervisors are Assoc. Prof. Phillip McIntyre, Assoc. Prof. William Martens (University of Sydney) and Dr Michael Meany. I was awarded an APA (Australian Post-graduate Award) scholarship in 2014. My areas of expertise are in audio production, psychoacoustics, signal processing and acoustic communication. My current research regards the use of hyper-compression in music production and the perception of dynamic range.
