Born in Canada, Sacha Proctor grew up in Toronto before moving to New York at an early age. He was educated in Toronto, New York and London. Moving back to Canada in 1998, his instinctive and outstanding visual creative talent carried him into the film business. Here he learned many aspects of film, first as a production assistant and later as a camera assistant. During that time, he had the opportunity to work with some of Canada’s leading directors, cameramen and production companies.
Sacha’s path led him to directing/editing, which excited and attracted him immediately. Discovering his true calling he went on to work with some of Toronto’s top directors and editors. He soon developed his own distinctive and creative editing style, which won him first prize at the AICE Toronto Camp Kuleshov editing competition.
