Dipping into the Data Series- SW Colorado
An online discussion on river data reports collected by our community scientists.
Science on the Fly- a Project of Woodwell Climate Research Center and Fishpond
March 30, 2023.
This online discussion is focused on the data collected and data reports written for the Science on the Fly project at the sampling locations on the San Miguel River (Telluride, Colorado), the La Plata River (Hesperus, Colorado) and the Animas River (Durango, Colorado) from the years 2019 through 2022. These sample locations were collected by our community scientists, Allie Cunningham and Kara Armano.
Science on the Fly is a project of Woodwell Climate Research Center and Fishpond. We partner with passionate fly fishermen and women (our community scientists) to collect water samples from their water sheds once a month so we can see how they are changing overtime due to the climate. We hope to add to the dataset of climate science on our watersheds as well as utilize this data to help create and enforce policies to protect our watersheds.
