Philip DeRise is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker, trained in the graduate film program of NYU Tisch School of the Arts international campus in Singapore.
His films have appeared in Creativity-Online (Adcritic), PBS's Reel13 series, the Cleveland International Film Festival, the Angelika NEWFILMMAKERS Series at Anthology Film Center (NYC), the Athens International Film and Video Festival, the 3-Minute Film Festival in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the Coachella Review, Index Art Center's Filmedio Festival, Charlotte Viewpoint Art Magazine, Fich Int. Comedy Film Festival (Portugal), Centre Images (France), and the AMIRANI International Film Festival (Tbilisi, Georgia).
Philip has produced and directed projects for Grey Advertising, Paul Newman Charity's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, Longwave, Doctors of the World, United Nations, Robbers on High Street, turnhere.com, and the Beczak Environmental Education Center.
Photography credits include publication within the Singapore Straights Times, and exhibition at the Museum of the City of New York. His short story, “Invisible Tunnels” was published in the literary journal “Silent Voices” (Ex Machina Press), and won best short story.
