This year, many of you have become even more passionate about the work you do. The idea of “moving upstream” – something most people had never heard of a year ago – has become forefront in the news and in the public discourse. And many of you would like to be more involved in helping your state – and the entire nation – move upstream.
For years, NACDD has fostered relationships between public health professionals across the country to share their successes, with a goal of helping all states and territories learn from each other. In this webinar, you’ll get to listen in as your peers from several states “get real” in discussing the work they are doing in a variety of timely, upstream factors that impact health:
• Food Security
• Prevention in Early Care and Education Centers (ECE)
• Building Healthy Communities
• Adverse Community Experiences
Each of the presenters took the step to become more involved in upstream work - with impacts for both their own states and the entire nation - through NACDD’s GEAR Groups, which focus on peer learning and leadership development.
At the end of the session, you’ll have a chance to engage with all the presenters in a live Q&A and learn how you, too, can become more involved in making “upstream” more mainstream.
