Forming, staffing, and operating a Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) is a major achievement, and critical to the success of SAFe adoption in any enterprise. However, no matter how well-designed your LACE is, it will not remain fit for its purpose unless you intentionally evolve your staffing, relationship with the groups you support, and how you work with vendors and the community as your transformation progresses. This talk shares a model for a stereotypical enterprise transformation journey, then elaborates how the LACE needs to position, engage, staff, and partner through each of the primary steps of the journey to ensure both initial transformation success and sustainable agility in the enterprise.
