Producer/host Susan Doherty credits her mother for her wanderlust and admits that her love for travel has often influenced her address (ask her where she has lived and prepare for a lengthy discussion). Her interest in entertaining and all things lifestyle was nurtured as a young girl (her mother arranged for a seamstress to bring her clothing designs to life) and honed in her 20s while trying to make “pretty parties on a shoestring budget.” But it was her work for numerous caterers and chefs in Los Angeles that truly inspired her, leading eventually to the creation of sixminutestyle.com
A die-hard news junkie, Doherty insists on the inclusion of such timely topics as green living and causes worth supporting. “Our lives are multi-faceted,” she says. “Six Minute Style reflects that.”
Her professional career is also multi-faceted. Doherty has worked for years in marketing, public relations and film and video production while moonlighting as an actor and spokesperson in theater, television commercials and corporate videos. She has a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies (Communications) and graduated from the Professional Program in Screenwriting at UCLA. Her feature writing has appeared in Naples Dog magazine, Three Rivers Lifestyle, Rocky Mountain News, Rocky Mountain Sports, Yoga Rahasya, and Colorado Woman News.
