Born in 1969 in Provence, I work in media, music and arts for more than twenty years. If I write, make movies or play, poetry remains my way. Largely self-taught, my career has been built over the meetings, friendships and travels.
On my vimeo's channel, you could watch my filmpoems. My video poems don't illustrate the poetry. My goal is to create a dialogue between text, sound and image. It's a research on the common aesthetic that emerges and changes the meaning. It gives birth to a new poetic object. Somehow the quest for a "videopoetique".
My video work has been featured on festivals, webzines and galleries in England (Liberated Worlds/Bristol Poetry Festival, Pallant House Gallery), Belgium (Antwerp Filmpoem Festival), the USA (Rabbit Heart Poetry Film Festival, Viewster, Toff, Gnarled Oak), Lithuania (Tarp festival), Ukrain (Cyclop Videopoetry International Festival), Greece (International Film Festival Poetry) but also in France: Vidéoformes, Instants Video, Ciné Poèmes etc. Recently I got the Coup de Coeur Prix du Carnet de Voyage Numérique in the Rendez-vous du Carnet de voyage of Clermont-Ferrand for my filmpoem Yama Sakura.
For me videopoetry is this rare moment of grace where images carry with music an imaginary in osmosis of the text. A quest somehow...
