Stephen's passion for the arts, and visual media in particular, began at an early age. After graduating high school, Stephen attended The Savannah College of Art and Design and Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts where he graduated valedictorian of his class. It was at this time he chose to pursue film/television production as a career. He began as a production assistant on numerous commercials and music videos for groups such as Outkast and Sister Hazel. Later he crossed over into working in the art and props department for an ABC Movie of the Week as well as a show entitled, 'Disney Inside/Out' for the Disney Channel.
In 1997, Stephen was offered a job producing and art directing stock photography shoots for Superstock, Inc. After two and a half years at Superstock, he moved to Miami Beach where he worked as an art director for a new advertising agency called la comunidad. At la comunidad, Stephen worked directly under the direction of its founder, Jose Molla, former Wieden & Kennedy Creative Director for Nike International. After too many years in the Miami sun, he returned to Jacksonville.
Back in Jacksonville, he began working for himself as a freelance producer, videographer and editor during the day while at night he worked for PGA TOUR Productions. As a freelancer, Stephen worked closely with many local and national clients including Jacksonville University and Epic Records. In 2005, Stephen joined WJCT as a producer/director and has produced and/or directed many shows for WJCT including Straight Talk 2006 & 2008 with the Jaguars Foundation. In 2007, Stephen produced, directed, shot and edited a documentary for WJCT entitled 'City of Bridges' which focused on the impact of Jacksonville's bridges on the First Coast as well as the state of Florida.
