Long-listed for a BAFTA in 2014 for her short film DAWN, Stephanie is an award winning writer/director/producer who started her filmmaking journey as an actress in Canada 15 years ago before moving to the UK in 2005 to pursue filmmaking. Since then, she has been writing and directing for the screen as well as producing and assistant directing virals, promos, shorts and feature films and working with artists and filmmakers such as Goldfrapp, Lisa Gunning, Frightened Rabbit, Handheldcineclub, Band of Skulls, To Kill a King, Anna Calvi, Jack King, Omid Nooshin, The XX, Jesse J, Ed Sheeran, Little Mix, Mo Ali and many more. Her first short film ‘Marigolds’ achieved festival and critical success, screening at over 15 festivals including the London Short Film Festival, Cambridge Film Festival and Underwire as well as several US festivals. It received rave reviews in both Little White Lies and Best for Film. Marigolds was acquired and broadcast by the BBC and aired on the final episode of BBC HD Shorts in March 2012. She was also honoured to receive the Best Director award for Marigolds at Underwire Film Festival. Stephanie’s short screenplay 'Hello George' was shortlisted for UK Digishorts, The Golden Brad Awards and Best Screenplay at Super Shorts Film Festival. 'Dawn' is her second short film and a taster for her first feature film, Silent Disco and has screened at festivals worldwide including Busan SFF, Pentedattilo, Aesthetica and London Short Film Festival. Stephanie was chosen for the Branchage Director's Lab and is a member of Director's UK.
