BODY What we have learned is retained in our memory, without it, our life would only be made up of a barrage of impressions without meaning. Memories are stored in our subconscious, and can be recalled at will, our conscious self. We alone decide which impressions we give more attention. The strength of the original impression implies not only feeling or thought, but how significant the memory is to each person. Memory is not just mental, but emotional and physical as well. The depth and sensitivity of emotional and physical experiences are major factors in how we remember anything. Excerpt - Sanderson Beck 1987 It is within the depths of the unconscious that Body forms its most essential path into the hidden synaptic connection to our memories. Body investigates these impressions, and gives meaning to each significant part of the whole. Created as a stand alone piece for Trip Dance Theater. Music Composition, Charlie Campagna, Dance, Movement, and personal stories, Trip Dance Theater. RT 4 minutes.
