A short test of Tokina Cinema ATX 11-16mm T3 Wideangle Zoom Lens (EF). BMPCC + Metabones EF to BMPCC Speed Booster (maximum aperture increase 1 2/3 stop). All shots have been exposed between T3 - T4 (ProRes 422 HQ). ND 1.2 or 0.3 used in first six day shots. Mild color correction made in Final Cut Pro. I bought this new Tokina Cine lens, and wanted to shoot a short, very informal test. For me, this lens really stands out from the wide lenses that I've used before (both cine and still lenses). Even at its widest end, there is not a notable distortion and the image is sharp at T3 (with Speed Booster it becomes more or less T1.4 1/2). I think it's the Speed Booster that makes the edges to appear a bit stretched ang vignetted in some shots. That's something I've noticed with other lenses as well when using a speed booster. So, this test won't give you the best results of the image sharpness and all, but for a reference it works quite well. It's quite amazing how the lens keeps those straight lines! Love it.
