Visit Townhall at www.imjbrad.com/townhall Townhall attempts to create an anonymous platform through which anyone with an internet connection can bring powerful questions to the ears of the public. The sculpture itself is simply a megaphone atop a traditional pedestal, but through a web interface, an anonymous user is able to send questions to the megaphone and have them be announced aloud to whomever is around. The questions are announced in that monto-toned computer generated voice contemporary viewers have come to recognize. With an emphasis on submitting questions to the megaphone, as opposed to general statements or comments, Townhall asserts that the rhetorical nature of a question is inherently more powerful than that of a statement. By definition, questions seek information; and in doing so, they move conversation forward.

This is a short clip of a performance with the Shutterless Projector from Thompson Manitoba Canada 2014 The device arose as an attempt to prototype a concept that would allow an extremely large-scale projector to be created by moving the film continuously rather than in a start-stop motion as in conventional projectors. It uses two variable speed motors re-purposed from early twentieth century 8mm projectors two move the film and the lenses past the projection light source at slightly different speeds. The correct ratio presents a stable projection from moving parts. The device was created in collaboration with Ryan Simmons and was designed and constructed over a period of 6 days in preparation for a presentation at PAVED Arts in Saskatoon Saskatchewan in 2013 and has since shown at WNDX and RAW Gallery in 2013 and in Thompson Manitoba as part of the Digital Lodge Program.
