x.pose is a wearable data-driven sculpture that exposes a person's skin as a real-time reflection of the data that the wearer is producing. In the physical realm we can deliberately control which portions our bodies are exposed to the world by covering it with clothing. In the digital realm, we have much less control of what personal aspects we share with the services that connect us. In the digital realm we are naked and vulnerable. https://www.behance.net/gallery/17256769/xpose ITP NYU Thesis 2014 Special thanks to: Nancy Hechinger, Ben LIght, Eric Rosenthal, Pedro Oliveira, Talya Stein, Roy Rochlin, Heidi Lee, Rashad Taylor, ITP community, Family & Friends Music: Quantic - Time is the Enemy

instructables.com/id/3D-Printed-Record/ In order to explore the current limits of 3D printing technology, I've created a program for converting digital audio into a 3D model of a record and printed some functional prototypes that play on ordinary record players. The audio on the records is very low resolution, it has a sampling rate of 11kHz (a quarter of typical mp3 audio) and 5-6bit resolution (less than one thousandth of the resolution of typical 16 bit audio), but the result is easily recognizable. Find my Processing code, 3D model downloads, photos, and a detailed discussion of the design process on Instructables. Thanks to Ronny Kerr for helping me film this

3D printing has become more and more popular these days. Thanks to companies like Makerbot you can purchase your own 3D printer small enough to fit on your desk. In this tutorial we'll show you how to model an alien space craft in Cinema 4D then take it into Makerbot's Makerware software to create a 3D print.

Thanks for all the support! Please visit www.jpdes.com for more of my work! _ The Pogo is an innovative headphone jack designed to "breakaway" upon stress—thereby saving your device and headphones from damage. Using a neodymium magnet and 4 "pogo" pins, a strong connection is made between the two pieces, passing the signal through. This is a concept video proposing a new product. If interested in learning more, please contact: Jon Patterson http://www.jpdes.com 215. 262. 5847. jon@jpdes.com Special thanks to TEAM BISCUIT FILMS for the video: http://www.teambiscuitfilms.com _ 8.26.13 Thanks to everyone for the ongoing support! This project has received an unexpected amount of feedback and positivity and I thank you for that! Just to clarify... Currently, The Pogo cannot be purchased—this is a concept video, in effort to raise awareness of the difficulties of patents when creating a new product. I am working on getting around the patents, and trying to develop it with a company, but until then, the product cannot be sold or tested by individuals :(

Platige Image and Bridge created BIOSTAGOG – an interactive sculpture which combines algorithmic design, 3D printing, mapping and interaction. This parametrically generated, multicellular form has been integrated with projection and by that it gives a possibility of interaction between installation and its audience. BIOSTAGOG can display creative content made by artists working at Platige Image and by using Kinect technology it may equally involve both the company staff and the visitors. The N12 bikini is the world's first first ready-to-wear, completely 3D-printed article of clothing. All of the pieces, closures included, are made directly by 3D printing, and snap together without any sewing. Designed by Jenna Fizel and Mary Huang of Continuum Fashion, and made possible by Shapeways, N12 represents the beginning of what is possible for the near future. http://www.continuumfashion.com/N12.html read more at our blog: http://www.continuuminum.com made with http://www.shapeways.com
