We shared our story of the 49 Faces Project at Fairbanks' first PechaKucha night. The University of Alaska Pub has long been a gathering place where new adventures have been planned, and stories of past adventures have been shared over cold beverages. On October 9, 2013 the Pub was the site of Fairbanks' first Pecha-Kucha night. The 49 Faces project was among the nine creative presentations shared in this creative format. PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. PechaKucha 20 x 20 presentations consist of 20 slides which show for 20 seconds each. The accompanying talk is exactly 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Anyone can present on any topic. The format has become extremely popular, and PechaKucha nights have been held in more than 700 cities world-wide. One requirement is that the venues must serve beer. Adele and John collaborated on the Keynote slide deck and the story line. John delivered the show to the audience at the pub. We've converted our slide show into a movie, and recorded John's voiceover of essentially the the same story he shared live. We hope you'll grab a beverage, and enjoy the show.
