I tried Intermezzo in 2009 and came very close to sending it. But I had to walk away to start my Postdoc in San Diego/CA. Five years later I was back to close a circle. I was welcomed by pretty harsh conditions, including snow, ice, and torrential downpours, but spring finally arrived in Austria and after 11 days of giving it my all and my wife Maddie's amazing, relentless support things finally fell in place perfectly and a dream of mine came true - "Intermezzo XY gelöst" (9a / 5.14d). "Intermezzo XY gelöst" was put up by legendary Klem Loskot in 1997 and was since repeated by Thomas Katzlberger and Max Eder. The route ascends one of the most amazing pieces of rock I have seen anywhere. In a mere 12 meters it features almost very imaginable feature, including microcrimps, pinches, monos, and even a tufa! A hard entry boulder around V12 is followed by 5.14 climbing. In my case, this exercise in moving meditation lasted 2 min 15 sec or 22 moves.

It's in 4 sections now, 3 once I remember what to do on the slab. Hopefully I won't lose my feet everywhere on redpoint attempts too

This footage was taken on July 8th 2012. BJ has one hung Moonshine many times over the last decade. He finally found success and redpointed this longstanding project in early August 2012. Props to my good friend for his tenacity to see it through, like he always does in life!!

A short film highlighting 3 days with Ethan Pringle and a look into his comical personality and extraordinary climbing ability. The film highlights Ethan's ongoing project to climb the hardest route in North America at Clark Mountain, California, his quick wit, and a successful ascent of a very difficult and long standing project at Robber's Roost on Mt. Charleston outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. This film is a rough cut but we're happy to release it to the public, enjoy!

Enhorabuena Pablo!!! http://www.trilobitepro.com

This is one of my hardest routes that I completed a few years ago. It is located in Southern Utah at the Cathedral. I believe it is one of the greatest new lines on the cliff. I swear that more work put in the better the reward is on hard routes. I was very happy when I pulled this one out. ENJOY!!!
