/ About the Project As of today, it is estimated that there are more than 7 billion humans living on Earth. Humans have only been a glimpse in the Earth’s timeline, yet in the last 200 years the evolution of mankind has skyrocketed as well as the need for Earth’s resources. Skyscrapers are growing taller than the next, like huge trees battling for sunlight. At night, from a higher point of view, traffic evokes lava flowing down a volcano. Like a giant ant colony, humans have made this planet their own. But what about the Earth? Can we continue to take without consequences? The City Limits tries to show that even though we are the dominant species on the planet, there is something bigger than us. In Carl Sagan’s own words “Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. It is up to us.” Human progress and technology are developing at exponential rates but at what cost? Where is the city’s limit? / Technical Info Camera: Canon 5D Mark II Lenses: Canon 14 II, Canon 24 II, Canon 70-200 / Licensing For licensing information please visit: www.dominicboudreault.com/licensing / Connect with Me Website: www.dominicboudreault.com Twitter: twitter.com/domboudreault Instagram: instagram.com/dominicboudreault

One astronaut's journey through space and life ends on a hostile exosolar planet. Grounded is a metaphorical account of the experience, inviting unique interpretation and reflection by the viewer. Themes of aging, inheritance, paternal approval, cyclic trajectories, and behaviors passed on through generations are explored against an ethereal backdrop. Spain, Iceland, Estonia and USA were the main destinations. My goal has always been to get the best results, both technical and dramatical, emphasizing composition, light and feeling in each and every shot. The difficulty of filming in many locations, the arduous process of developing and the physical and economic effort I had to make to film this piece, makes me extremely happy to share the material in Vimeo. If you would like to travel to these places and learn or improve your time-lapse technique, you might want to attend one of my workshops or tours. http://www.enriquepacheco.com/workshops During my trips I have shot a lot of footage. This is a tribute film to the amazing Montserrat typeface, recently designed by my friend Julieta Ulanovsky. A tribute, also, to the Montserrat neighbourhood in my hometown Buenos Aires, which inspired the font. And finally a tribute to Jorge Luis Borges. The text is an extract from his wonderful poem Break Of Day (Amanecer) from the book Fervor de Buenos Aires (1923). A fun skit I put together to test my shooting / editing skills - the brief was to take a solitary model and see if I could have her argue with herself and make it look realistic. It's not 100% perfect but it's not bad for a bit of fun and a learning experience. I do stuff like this from time to time to try and test myself and get myself thinking about how I would go about shooting a particular sequence that I haven't done before. I find it improves my skills when I go back to my standard shoots. The stunning Sophie Star was a good sport in this video - not to mention looking very sexy as she started stripping off to throw her clothes at herself - lol! I promised her I would leave out the clip of her accidentally misthrowing her knickers which ended up on top of her head! Shot with a Canon 5D Mark III and Canon 5D Mark II cameras with the following lenses:- Canon 24-70mm 2.8 lens Canon 70-200mm 2.8 lens Canon 100mm 2.8 macro lens Editing and colour grading was done in FCPX. Comments on how I could have done it better will always be gratefully received.

                      What are Tags?

                      Tags

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
