For the New York Times: In the Gobi Desert, things are changing. Mining has come to Mongolia. Next to the world's largest gold and copper mine, Oyu Tolgoi, is the town of Khanbogd . Exploration and preparation of the mine has caused a boom in this once sleepy town. While the population has more than tripled, resources in the town remain scarce. The mine has created jobs and great impact on Mongolia's economy, but other impacts of the mine are still unknown. A Changing Landscape examens both positive and negative effects of mining in Mongolia, focusing on the town closest to the mine — Khanbogd. Many times, I want to share my edits right away. I want everyone to see it hot off the press! This film on the other hand, I didn’t let myself to share it right after completing it. It felt like it was still a rough draft even though everyone in our office agreed it was ready to post. It felt like an essay that I just wrote and wanted to turn it in for an A+ but knew it was a B- essay. Some filmmakers would settle for an B- film, I didn’t want to. I never do. I’m a perfectionist. So I spent a few more days tweaking this film and perfecting it. Letting my wife heavily critique it and fixing all the little thing that bothered me (and her). Now I can post it knowing that it’s an A+ level film. I love how Sergey and Lena’s short wedding film turned out after finalizing it. This thought me that if I want to stand out and be the best Sacramento Wedding Videography company, I have have to make A+ films and I believe we are on the right track. We travelled to Seattle, WA to film this wedding. Sergey and Lena trusted the best Sacramento Wedding Videography company to tell their wedding story and we enjoy doing just that. Enjoy this short wedding film from this beautiful couple. This film was proudly edited on Final Cut Pro X. We will soon have a blog post talking about our experience and why we believe wedding cinematography companies should switch to this wonderful program. This project is a multi-year labor of love with the objective of capturing Nashville in moving pictures. There were many hours spent on early mornings and evening shoots capturing the mood of the city as it came to life in the morning and transitioned into a vibrant city at night. As our project advanced we gained opportunities to jump on the jumbotron at LP field, access inside bridgestone arena and were given press passes to Live On the Green in exchange for stills of the show. I love and believe in Nashville. I've bounced around many different cities and I'm proud to call Nashville my home. The main purpose of this project was to capture a few of our favorite vistas, moments, and events that define Nashville. My hope is that this project can inspire even more pride and love for our city. Special thanks to the Futurebirds (A Nashville based band) for sharing their music with us for this video: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/baba-yaga/id635745301 Capture / Capture: Carl Schulz / Pupon Saiyasak Camera: 5D MKII / MKIII Lens: Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.4 / 21mm f2.8, Canon 85mm f1.4L, Leica 35mm f2.0 Summicron / 50mm f1.4 Summilux Equipment: Dynamic Perception Stage Zero Dolly
