hmmmm, where can i begin... I bought this car for $400 bucks and i tossed in my xbox 360 too, i was 17 when i first got the car... most of my friends and family thought the worst of the car, UGLY, POS, "why the hell would you even buy that"...they clearly didn't understand the potential it possessed. I had to buy this car under my parents noses, and when i trailerd it to the house, they saw it and started freaking out, they demanded me to sell it because it looked "bad" in front of our house.... i kept telling them to just trust me, and after about 1 month of fighting, my dad finally decided to say FINE, if this isn't running in a year, its going to the junkyard... luckily i had a good time limit. About 2 months later i dropped in another KA and got the bitch running, that was my first feeling of actually fixing a car, and holy shit let me tell you, it's addicting. i kept adding and adding to the car, and not only was everyone starting to shut their mouths about me not being able to get this car running, but people started to believe that maybe one day..just maybe, this car would actually look somewhat nice?? After years of hard fucking work, about 3 years i would say, PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK into this car. I can't even begin to describe the amount of time I've spent on this car trying to make/fit everything perfectly, polishing/powdercoating every little thing, often spending hours and hours on it for months straight. In general just trying to make everything perfect and too my liking, i think i may have small case of OCD, lol One thing i can gladly say is that I don't regret one moment i've spent with this car, it has been a huge life lesson in many ways. I'm extremely grateful for it! it's just nice that i can say i have done every single thing to this car to make it what it is today... "built not bought!" NOW i look at the car, and i can hardly believe its mine, it is crazy! i wanted to do a video of it before it gets wrecked, so here we go! p.s i can't thank some of my friends enough for the help they have giving me through this whole process, don't get me wrong its not over, but for the most part i'm satisfied now! also to all those people that talked shit about me and my car, all i got to say is .... look at me now! SPECIAL thanks to: DUSTIN BOYERSMITH for letting me use his slider and footage, i don't think i was supposed to use some of his footage but i did ;) Kennith Lander: for providing the shop and being a cool ass dude, letting me use his home made gangster slider on long board wheels! dude is crafty! don't forget to check out their video guys! edit* video of drift here.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rk2I1y89Ts&feature=player_embedded

To be completely honest, up until earlier this year, I knew next to nothing of KP Race. I knew it was an auto shop located somewhere in Washington (With names like Snoqualmie and Skookumchuck, the towns all seem to blend together in my mind). That was, until I received a call from a guy who goes by the name of "Victor Moore." Hey, I'd have an alter ego, too, if I were him. Don't worry, your secret's safe with me, Tiger. Haha! Anyway, the conversation consisted of a request to travel the US with Victor, Chris Jeanneret, and Matt Brandow as they work their way up the Formula Drift Ranks in 2010. How could I resist?! Free rides all over the country and food along the way! Say no more; I'm in! Traveling with these fine young gentlemen took me back to a simpler time in life. A time when all that mattered was having fun. A time when you jumped in a 1988 Ford Probe and drove all day, just to bomb a hill in San Fransisco or skate a new park in Vancouver, BC. From late night In-N-Out runs, to shenanigans at Hooters in Long Beach, drifting was far from the best part of the journey, for me. And that's why I love it so much! Just like skateboarding in my younger years, drifting has given me the opportunity to meet literally hundreds of new people who share a common love. This video documents the adventures of KP Race as they fight for the Formula Drift podium. Despite a privateer budget and with terribly timed mechanical failure, these guys are always up beat and having a good time. Don't get me wrong, though. These guys are seriously dedicated to the sport and have the drive and motivation necessary to reach the top. Expect to see plenty more of KP Race in the 2010 season!

                    from John Pangilinan Added

Scion TC GT Revealed / Tuner Challenge Built by John Pangilinan This is a behind the scenes look at my official entry into the 2010 Scion Tuner Challenge for the 2011 Scion tC. The project was slated for a 3 month build from start to finish, with the winner to be announced at 2010 SEMA held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Video is a montage of the build from bone stock to final product with over 80+ GB worth of footage over a 2 month period, cut and chopped to roughly 2 mins. Shot with a Canon 7D by Christian San Jose. The project started with an amazing rendering by my good friend Jon Sibal and the vehicle came to life with the help of great friends and sponsors. The project was inspired by motorsports and speed. The concept was to build a new TC that would be designed for the track with subtle details that would stand out. This vehicle was built with the intention of challenging myself to think outside the box and taking on a project that is outside my comfort zone. Another goal was to help progress the Scion Racing brand and showcase what the new 2011 TC is capable of. The car will be unveiled at: SEMA November 2, 2010 Scion Booth #20703 JPANGILINAN.COM _______________________________________________ Directed by Christian San Jose Filmed + Edited by Christian San Jose
