Aydıntaşbaş participated in former President George W. Bush's 2004 trip to Turkey and traveled with Turkish President Abdullah Gül and Prime Minister tayyip erdoğan during official visits between 2004–08. Adam Greenfield, Founder and Managing Director, Urbanscale Adam Greenfield, Founder and Managing Director of Urbanscale, is an advocate for the human-centered design of technological systems. He was Nokia’s head of design direction for service and user interface design. He is the author of Everyware: The Dawning Age of Ubiquitous Computing (2006), Urban Computing and its Discontents (2007, with Mark shepard) and the forthcoming The City is Here for You to Use. He teaches at New York University’s Interactive telecommunications program. With his wife, artist Nurri Kim, Greenfield is also cofounder of Do projects which, since 2010, has conducted innovative systems/Layers “walkshops” in cities around the world, a series of walking tours dedicated to investigating the ways in which digital networks gather information from and return information to the street. Yancey Strickler, Cofounder, Kickstarter Yancey strickler is cofounder of Kickstarter, the world's largest funding platform for creative projects. His writing has appeared in New York magazine, Pitchfork, Spin, and the Village Voice, among other publications. He lives in New York City and has personally backed more than 650 Kickstarter projects. Anthony Townsend, Research Director, Institute for the Future Anthony townsend is Research Director at the Institute for the Future where he conducts forecasts on urbanization, mobility, and ubiquitous computing. He has worked extensively with national and local governments and international development organizations on issues of e-government, technology-based economic development, and innovation. He teaches at New York University's urban planning program. Townsend was a co-founder of the pioneering community network NYCwireless. His first book, Smart Cities: How Technology Giants, Citizen Hacktivists and City Hall Are Battling Over Our Future will be published by W.W. Norton & Co. in 2013. Moderator: Marc Kushner, Architect and Cofounder, Architizer Marc Kushner, AIA, is a partner in the New York-based architecture firm Hollwich Kushner and CeO of Architizer, which he cofounded in 2009. Architizer is a revolution in the way architects communicate their work; it is the first crowd-sourced database for architecture online. since its inception, Architizer has started a fundamental re-evaluation within the profession of how architecture is consumed, and remains the fastest growing platform for architecture online. Kushner teaches at Columbia University’s Graduate school of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, and lectures on the topic of social media and architecture across the country.
