The project’s starting point is the choreographic manuscript Vi forlot den stille skogen written by Norwegian poet and choreographer Janne-Camilla Lyster. To work with this text as grounds for a choreographic work has raised several questions in regards to production of meaning in text versus dance and choreography, and within this, problems of interpretation. Emerging from these questions is an idea of zombies, living dead, cognition-less bodies moving purely on instincts, which is being researched in the work. Urskog was performed as one of four works all dealing with the same manuscript at Dramatikkens Hus (Oslo) and 0047 on the 5th and 6th of October 2013. Choreography: Ingri Fiksdal, Music: Camilla Barratt-Due Vatne, Live coding: Alexandra Cardenas, Performers: Ingeleiv Berstad, Kristin Helgebostad, Pernille Holden, Eivind Seljeseth and Bente Alice Westgård, Extras: Marie Nikazm Bakken, Sara Christophersen, Alma Bø Getachew, Ane Marthe Sørlien Holen, Sigrid Hirsch Kopperdal, Charlotte Helena Nicolina, Venke Marie Sortland, , Åsne Storli, Maria Ulvestad and Linda Sofia Wardal, Video and edit: Ivar Mykland, DJ: Kosovopakkis, Funded by The Norwegian Arts Council, Fund for performing artists and Fund for sound and picture, Co-produced by Kedja Wilderness Residency and The Residency by Muscle Temple/0047, Thanks to The National Theatre, The Norwegian Theatre and Khio
