Game/Create is a documentary about the inner circle of Game/Creators. These are people who love to play games, but also love to create things using their love of gaming, whether it be creating a whole new coding system for a cell phone game or going under the hood of older systems to create something new. I wrote the music for this documentary on the Gameboy, check out the OST here: http://soundcloud.com/near_lag_experience

          • The Nerdist TV show - new opening sequence

            from Mark LaCroix / Added

So like every other self-respecting nerd, I eagerly anticipated The Nerdist TV special, which aired on BBC America last week. I loved it, and I hope that it becomes a series, but... I thought that the opening sequence left a bit to be desired. It just didn't seem to rise to the awesomeness of the chiptune theme tune by Anamanaguchi. So I made my own version. Hopefully this will let BBC America know just how fanatic we Nerdist listeners can be, and commission a full series. I animated the characters, but credit for the original 8-bit character designs goes to David Anthony Wood (http://dabwood.tumblr.com). I made some updates to Wood's excellent character designs for this sequence. First, I gave Jonah a more appropriately epic 'stache, and I helped Matt lose a little weight, because I believe in you, Matt. Check out more of my work at: www.mark-lacroix.com
