This time-lapse captures Exhibition Road Drawing Resident Liam O’Connor working on a portion of his drawing scroll during his residency. Liam positioned himself at different vantage points across the building site where he captured the performance of the people working on the project. The scroll was produced over the duration of Liam's twelve month residency at the V&A and when completed the drawing measured thirteen metres across. The Flood, 2014, documentation of site specific Artist in Residence, Program in Aso iejsc.

I recorded this footage over about 10 minutes sitting on rocks at the fjord in Ålvik, the place where I am completing an artist residency, April - June 2015. Although a quiet, peaceful area of rich and wild natural beauty and all the dangers and challenges that brings, Ålvik is also a factory village, with much to-ing and fro-ing of workers and industry vehicles etc. It is also on the main tourist trail along the Hardangerfjord and flight paths from Bergen run overhead. Thus this dichotomy of rural-urban, natural-manufactured is a constant presence, reflecting my own internal dialogues.
