The album has served as an important influence for Cook, in his solo work as well as his contributions to Megafaun and The Shouting Matches. For the celebration, Cook assembled a house band of fellow Ry Cooder disciples, to help bring the album to life. Members of Megafaun, Mount Moriah, Hiss Golden Messenger, Mandolin Orange, The Tender Fruit and more played the album in its entirety at Haw River Ballroom, in Saxapahaw, NC.
