A look at the Thakur Fabric Shop in Bandra. I purchased about ten or fifteen meters of linen and cotton fabric for Rs2,000 (US$50). A tailor will make these into pants and shirts for me.

These are everywhere in the city. There are lots of busy intersections, but hardly any traffic lights. So you just sort of push your car or rickshaw into the mess and eventually you come out on the other end.

                • An Introduction to Second Class Trains

                  from Nick Gray Added 648 7 6

This is my first video clip from India with editing and multiple scenes. I hope you enjoy a look at a Second Class train journey from Bandra to Churchgate station. The difference in price between a second class and a first class ticket is almost ten-fold (Rs6 or Rs55). But the only difference in the train compartments is that the first class seats have cushions. I wanted to ride first class because I have heard so many horror stories about how crowded second class is. It should be noted that if this video was filmed during rush hours, there would be absolutely zero visibility because the second class train would be as full as humanly possible. Thanks to Akshay Mahajan for being my tour guide and camera man.

I am trying to get back into the habit of daily media creation. So, at the risk of being very boring, here is just a clip of me talking and laughing with Akshay at Cafe Coffee Day on Carter Road in Bandra, Mumbai, India. Check out my blog at http://nickgray.net/blog.html At the end of the clip, I tried to say my new favorite Hindi phrase, which means "Go away."

MAGNET is a fancy supermarket on Linking Road in Bandra, Mumbai, India. The prices are reasonable for fresh vegetables. We literally filled up a whole entire shopping cart with vegetables last week for less than Rs400 (US$10). Anyhow, I had to go there today to get some more skim milk, so we filmed a quick intro. Just trying to get back into the sharing habit. Not really a very interesting video, IMHO, because I had to keep low-key to avoid security. Shortly after we turned the camera off, they told us "No pictures."

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
