1. Winter Park

Fact: Winter Park is Ben Lynch's home mountain. I was pretty stoked to go there and ride with Ben and have him show us around his home turf. Ben is one of my favorite people to take resort laps with. You never know what he's gonna do and he's always doing something. Here is the left over footage that didn't make the original Winter Park cut in Respect Your Elders. Featuring the riding of Ben Lynch, Brandon Cocard, and Travis Parker. On what could have possibly been the 14th down day in a row due to bad weather, Brandon Cocard, Ben Lynch and Skylar Thorton decided that they had had enough and needed a different kind of action. Mike Basich had told the crew that he had tried to ride a river back in the 80's or 90's on his snowboard being toed by a vehicle. It sounded a little sketchy, actually it sounded really sketchy. Of course Skylar Thornton was down for the cause. Skylar was a natural at riverboarding, he killed it! Mike also got a sick photo that he took himself by remote trigger while he was driving, which was later published in Snowboard Magazine. What we learned that day from our elder Mike, was that there is always opportunity to have fun you just need a little imagination and some motivation. Thanks again Mike I will never forget that day. On a milky flat light day in Alaska it was next to impossible for Aaron Robinson, Travis Parker, Brandon Cocard and Ben Lynch to access the goods high up in the mountain. Instead, AROB led us to some lower elevation pillows that he knew about. RIP AROB!!! SMASH LIFE!!!!!! On day 3 of our stay at Mike's place we awoke to a serious snowstorm. We definitely were not complaining seeing as the day before the powder had turned to crap. So as always, these guys made the best of it and Mike being the totally awesome host that he is, let us shred on his masterpiece of a house. This was personally my favorite footage from the trip to Area-241. Hope you enjoy it! On day 2 of our trip to Area-241, Mikey Basich showed Brandon Cocard, Ben Lynch and myself around to some sweet back country spots near his house. After Tim departed due to an injury, our friend Eric Messier joined us out at Area-241. Although the snow was turning to hot pow, it was still a fun session in the back yard. I mean how can you not have fun when shredding with these guys!? Its pretty much impossible. Enjoy! Oh yeah I almost forgot to mention this is an original song by the Airblaster Crew. During the filming of Respect Your Elders, Mikey Basich invited the crew of Ben Lynch, Brandon Cocard, Tim Eddy and director of photography Kyle Norman Schwartz out to Area-241. Here's what Kyle had to say upon arrival, "When we showed up to his castle, he told us that he had already pushed a back country jump for us with his snow cat. What a guy! That's what I call hospitality! So we had a fun session on the jump, but Tim ended up hurting his knee because he is a beast and sent it way to hard on a cab fiver and ran into a bush. So Tim peaced out and in the mean time Mike pushed up a small tree stall with his snow cat and we sessioned it once Brandon got back from dropping Tim off. Besides Tim getting hurt it was a really awesome start to our time spent at Area-241. Thanks MIKEY B!" Head over to www.myairblaster.om to get the full Respect Your Elders film!

                  from Sam Tuor Added 28.4K 193 16

A few years back Aaron was staying at my house in Tahoe and he was hounding me about going with him to Alaska. As far as I could tell he had no plan, nowhere to stay, a run down 86' Blazer, and probably little to no money. Though the idea of going to Alaska was very tempting, I couldn't see myself just bailing out of town like that. Aaron left and I didn't hear from him for a while. I wasn't sure if he made it, or where he was. The next thing you know I started seeing these vids on the internet of him shredding lines and having the time of his life up in AK. From that point on I knew that when Aaron had a plan he was going through with it no matter what obstacles stood in his way. That's why when he approached me about making a movie with Jason and him I knew right away that I was on board and that I was in for quite an adventure. It's been one hell of a winter! -Sam Tuor

My first time at Baker was also my first time meeting and filming with A Rob. Aaron was what I like to refer as an A+ rider, not only because of his skills on the board, but also because he always new what he wanted to ride. I never once had to point out something for Aaron to ride which let me focus on my job of capturing it the best I could. Let me tell you this is a very rare thing. I attribute this to Aarons easy going mentality, all around good heartedness, and the fact that AARON LIVED AND BREATHED SNOWBOARDING TO THE FULLEST. A Rob was one of the most down ass dudes I have ever met. I dont think I had ever heard A Rob complain about anything. Its getting the chance to meet and ride with guys like Aaron that keeps me doing what Im doing. Aaron may be gone from this world, but to his friends and family his memory will last forever. This is the Mt. Baker segment I filmed and edited from the movie Respect Your Elders. Featuring the riding of Aaron Robinson (Purple Jacket) and Temple Cummins (Tan Jacket). With appearances by Jessie Grandkoski, Ben Lynch, and Matt Cummins. Original music by Chris Emmington, Brandon Cocard, and Tim Eddy. RIP AROB! I RIDE FOR YOU HOMIE! -Kyle Norman Schwartz
