The Bikeminimalism crew had the opportunity to test the swrve Milwaukee ES -hoodies during the fall-winter season of 2012-2013. The testing commenced in September 2012 and we finished in late April 2013. As part of our testing, we brought the hoodies through heavy winds, rain, sleet, snow, slush and various other miserable conditions. The temperatures ranged from the comfortable +10° centigrade to the downright miserable -25°C. Rider: Miska Ride: Milwaukee Bruiser Mishka Production Company: Brother Studios, Helsinki Music: Baths - Lovely Bloodflow Filmed on January 5, 2013, it was one of the 5-6 sunny days during the winter. Don't be fooled by the sunny skies - the temperature was more or less -10°C, it was windy and cold as hell. Nevertheless, our rider was happy to ruffle his feathers... We had the pleasure of working with KRNKY on a quick and dirty film shot during the last days of this summer. The temperatures were dropping to somewhere around +5C° but our masked rider soldiered on nevertheless. Let this serve as a reminder to LET GO of the summers gone. And GO ON, ride into the new year.   We truly hope you people out there enjoy this as much as we do.  I traverse the vast expanses of where the noise stops. Where the air is furiously calm in a whirl, A raging sea of windows blur. Let me disappear here, in the midst of the light, Wrapped in the night like a cowl, Fiery glad that the song of my heart Takes up wings in my flight, In the hours when the haunters howl. When the days grow shorter, when the nights grow cold, When we're learning to put on winter clothes, When my freckles begin to fade, and my hands tremble, Let me go on. Poetry and spoken word from the hand of Samu Ainesmaa Music by Eero Taina Production by Brother Studios GO OUT AND RIDE, and while you're at it, grab some swag from mighty KRNKY.

SPINNING STEEL. How much am I these cities whizzing through me? As they cling their little strings of light to connect the dots in my itching soul, like fireflies dancing their erratic dance to the rhythm of soft clattering steel as I swoop in with them. How they have weaved their delicate webs into me so as to enclose me in the hold of the cold stone that paves the marrow of my bones so that when life rides right through them – they rattle with a soft hum and echo in me gently. To wander these streets in me, and to wonder just how much they have laced themselves into this little being to build little cities of light on the hills of my smile. I’ll be myself a bit just to ride them a while. I’ll ride them a little faster and let them blur into my sweet timelessness. This little race of the quietness of wheels humming soothing tunes of nameless streets with their blank signs spelling only welcome for me to race right through their shimmer, pushing myself to live faster, live louder, live a little more alive and put a little more of that living into how I ride through all of this. I am not quite so weakened at heart that I should become satisfied with taking life lying down in surrender my grip, but I take life by the bars and rush into it leaning forward, confident, these little cities whizzing through me in blips and fireflies crowding the cavities in me to make me a hive of dancing lights that glitter in the trails that I leave when I race right through them. I ride all the more faster in this life and let the brays of worry be swallowed alive by the gentle hum of spinning steel. Written and read by Samu Ainesmaa. Go to: http://poetry.ainesmaa.com/
