Theresa Smith, Paper Conservator in the Harvard University Library, discusses repairs she made to Heinrich Vogtherr's multilayered anatomical "flap" prints. The prints are from the collection of the Boston Medical Library in the Francis A. Countway Library of Medicine. Vogtherr's flap prints were part of the exhibition "Prints and the Pursuit of Knowledge in Early Modern Europe," which was on view September 6—December 10, 2011 at the Arthur M. Sackler Museum.
